Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the DriveChime app (the “App”) handles your information. In short: the App does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

1. What we collect

Nothing. The App has no accounts and no sign-up, and it does not ask for, collect, or transmit any personal information to the developer. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. There is no developer server for your data to be sent to.

2. What stays on your device

Everything you create or choose in the App is stored locally on your device only:

• Your selected startup sound and disconnect sound
• Any audio you import, including the trimmed 10-second clip and its normalised volume
• The name you type for the spoken voice greeting
• Widget settings: the photo you pick, your text or greeting, countdown, and your fuel and odometer note
• Dash Mode preferences
• Your purchase or trial status

This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App.

3. Permissions

The App asks for a permission only at the moment a feature needs it. Declining a permission disables that one feature and nothing else.

• Photos — only for the images you explicitly select for the photo widget. Limited photo selection is fully supported; the App never scans your library.
• Location — used for the GPS speed shown in Dash Mode and to look up the forecast for the weather widget. Location is read on the device while the feature is in use. It is not logged, not stored off the device, and never sent to the developer.
• Calendar — read-only access so the widget can show your next event. Event titles and times are displayed and not copied anywhere.

4. Weather data

The weather widget uses Apple Weather (WeatherKit). To return a local forecast, your coordinates are sent to Apple. They are not sent to the developer, and the developer receives no weather requests, no location history, and no identifiers. Apple’s handling is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. 5. Shortcuts automation

The App provides a Shortcuts action called “Play Startup Sound”. The automation you create in Apple’s Shortcuts app runs entirely on your device. The App does not learn where you drive, when you connect to a car, or how often the automation runs.

6. Purchases

The subscriptions and the one-time lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. We never see or receive your payment details, your billing address, or your purchase history. The App only receives an anonymous confirmation of whether a purchase or trial is currently active. There is no receipt validation server.

7. Children

The App is rated 4+, is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

8. Your rights

Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. Deleting the App removes everything it stored on your device.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
